Microsoft conducts an extensive overhaul of its leadership

The American group continues the reorganization of its teams to adapt to his new activities. He wants to get in running order in the perspective of redemption otherwise.

While Bill Gates announced his departure from the presidency of Microsoft in early summer, the whole enterprise that is undergoing a major restructuring. Thursday, the company from Redmond has announced the promotion of 14 officers who are expected to play a "vital role" in the development of Microsoft.

This restructuring affects primarily online activities, the weakest part of the American giant, which was still in deficit in 2007. So Brian McAndrews, the former CEO of specialist online advertising aQuantive, bought last year by Microsoft sees its expanded responsibilities within the online unit of Microsoft. It will include most of the cases so far provided by the head of this branch, Steve Berkowitz, who will leave the company in August.

Although Microsoft has denied that the appointment was linked to his attempt to buy Yahoo! ($ 41.8 billion), it appears that the IT group has sought to strengthen its online division by a good specialist sector before pursuing its offensive financially.
